In 2022, Indie set a U14 3000m Junior Resident Record of 10m40 at the North Island Colgate Games and won gold in the Auckland Track and Field U14 1500m Championships. She also triumphed in the Auckland Central Schools Y8 Cross Country Championships and the prestigious AIMS Games Year 8 Cross Country. This established her as the top Middle-School Female Cross-Country runner of the year.
In the 2023 athletics season, Indie continued to excel, winning gold medals in the Auckland Zone Preliminary Championships (1500m and 3000m), Auckland Champion of Champions meeting (1500m and 3000m), and North Island Championships (1500m). She achieved a personal best of 4m43 in the 1500m event, suggesting even faster times ahead. Indie's outstanding performances earned her the Diocesan School Junior Sportswoman of the Year award for the second consecutive year, as well as a Diocesan School Board Sports Scholarship.
In December 2023, Indie capped off her dominant year by winning the NZ Schools Road Race. She continued this success into 2024, with commanding victories in the 1500m and 3000m at the Athletics NZ Championships, and a win in the 1500m at the North Island Schools Championships. By the end of the 2024 summer season and at only 14 years of age, she had dominated her events and run 4m36 for 1500m. In May 2024 she continued her winning ways with a gold in the NZ 5km Road Championships and then a silver in the NZ Schools Cross Country Championships in June. However, she followed that rare loss up with a dominating win in the 2024 NZ club Cross Country Championships over a tough Mission Estate Napier course and at the end of the year impressed with a fast 69s last lap to win the NZ Secondary Schools 3000m.
Indie has kicked off 2025 with a super fast 1500m time of 4m30s at the Porritt Classic. During February this time made her the second fastest 15 year old in the world.
Indie's impressive record highlights her talent, hard work, and dedication. With her eyes on the future, she is poised to continue making significant strides in athletics.
