Penelope has dominated orienteering championships in New Zealand, Australia and Scandinavia as well as having commanding wins in New Zealand Championship 1500m and 3000m events. Before going to study in the USA she locked in multiple national and north island school records and was the undisputed number one ranked 3000m runner in NZ. Penelope is studying at Harvard University and during April 2023 she was ranked the USA number 2 freshman in the 1500m event.
