In his first year at Secondary School, Quinn could run 26sec for 200m and 58s for 400m. Apart from athletics and the training it entails, Quinn is also a Tri Star Gymnastics Champion. In this sport, placings are often decided by a mere 0.01 point. In a recent competition, Quinn finished 5th in the North Island Trampoline Championships. Quinn is the 2023 Auckland 800m champion with a very credible 2m3 time.
